Domestic Diversions
In 18th-century Williamsburg, the holiday season offered a special opportunity for friends and family to come together after a long year. From a December 1768 poem honoring musician Nancy Geddy to the arrival of British-imported music for Williamsburg’s citizens, it was a perfect time for the community to share in making music. Join members of the Governor’s Musick as they recreate the festive atmosphere of an 18th-century home, filled with seasonal music for all to enjoy. Art Museums admission is required, but no event ticket is needed.
