Celebrate Independence Day in Yorktown

Food Trucks, Games, Hot Dog Eating Contest & Family Fun!
Spend your 4th of July day in Yorktown with fun activities! Kids games including corn hole, hula hoops, and other outdoor games. Watch a hot dog eating contest presented by Carrot Tree Kitchens. If you’re interested in participating, call 757.988.1999. This will be a timed event to eat as many dogs as you can. Prizes include Carrot Tree gift cards.
Historic Yorktown’s restaurants will be open for business, so you can grab lunch or dinner.
At 2 p.m. Acoustical Guitarist Phil Poteat will peform on Riverwalk Landing Stage.
At 3 p.m. Patriotic Food Pavilion opens, there will also be several to-go options beginning at 3 p.m. and until the fireworks are over. This year’s food trucks and vendors include local favorites like Coastal Thirst, Kona Ice, Boyd’s Tasty Dogs, Pop’s Kettle Corn, Island Time Delights, and Snack Attack.
