Eco Discovery Park: James River Fest – Saturday April 26th, 2014 from 10am-3pm
Highlights of the Days Events:
- Art and Craft vendors
- Environmental and river related booths
- Food and refreshment vendor
- JRA Tent – James River Association will have a tent highlighting our important work to protect the James River and to showcase our programs. Our Lower James Riverkeeper and our Educational Staff will be present to provide hands-on activities. These will include fun and educational children’s activities.
- Area Wide Clean up – On the morning of the event, JRA will host a cleanup for volunteers. All supplies will be provided. If you would like to participate, email volunteer@jrava.org.
- Live Music – In Layman Terms , The UnXpected, and FRIENDS will perform from noon to 3:00under the big tent.
- Chesapeake Experience – will provide opportunities to get out on the water in a kayak.
- Eco Discovery Park – Eco Discovery Park will have the Demonstration Garden and Bird Food Depot exhibits open. Our marina store will be open. Find our three geocaches to earn the EDP path tag!
- Bike and kayak rentals available all day.
- Jamestown Discovery Boat Tours short free boat tours will begin at 10:30 am and run all day.
