Director of Development-Olde Towne Medical Center, Williamsburg, Virginia
$19.23/hour; part-time temporary position; Olde Towne Medical Center seeking individual to perform professional, experienced work raising funds. Reports to the Executive Medical Director and collaborates with the Executive Leadership in obtaining grants, fund raising, and marketing. Identifies grant opportunities; drafts grant proposals, progress and final reports, letters of support; and, maintains the calendar for grant applications, grant progress and final reports. Maintains database of donors, contributors, and stakeholders; assures donor acknowledgment of donations and gifts; responsible for organizing, planning, and convening of fundraising and community events. Develops written and web marketing and promotional materials for our community, clients, donors and supporting organizations; remains current with events and trends in local and national philanthropy, and applies this knowledge to OTMC. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications or related field; considerable nonprofit experience; or, any equivalent combination of education and experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess knowledge of Federal,State, and local funding designated for health services as well as grant writing and reporting for health industry. Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Rural Health clinic and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred. Requires computer proficiency and operational knowledge of donor support software. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
