Community Bus Wrap Competition

Calling all Historic Triangle residents! CultureFix and WATA (Williamsburg Area
Transit Authority) are partnering to create a new community art project. We are accepting art
submissions for two WATA bus wraps.

These WATA buses will have the winners artwork wrapped on them and on full display for six
months. There will be two categories for submissions, amateur and professional. The amateur
category will be open to all: kids, students, adults, anyone who has a desire to create a piece of
art to go on a bus. The second category will be for professional artists. Both categories will be
judged by a panel selected by CultureFix. Each of the two winners’ will receive a cash prize:
amateur $300, and professional $500.

All submissions must be from Historic Triangle residents. Submissions must be received by
September 15th and winners will be announced on September 20th. The buses will then be
wrapped and showcased on the weekend of October 2nd and 3rd before going into regular
service driving throughout the community. To apply for this competition and send in your
artwork, go to culture-fix.org.
