Calling Local Artists! 2015 Tree Ornament Contest Governor’s Executive Mansion in Richmond
Calling Local Artists!
2015 Tree Ornament Contest
Deadline Extended until October 23, 2015
James City County is excited to invite all local artisans to make a handcrafted Christmas tree ornament. The winning ornament will be displayed at the Governor’s Executive Mansion in Richmond, together with ornaments from other cities and counties in Virginia.
The objective of the contest is to encourage artistic expression and showcase unique features of James City County.
Due to the fragile nature of a tree ornament, we ask you to submit photograph(s) of the ornament and not the ornament itself. Both amateur and professional work will be accepted. Photographs must be original and not copyrighted and will become the property of the County upon submission. Files must be 300 dpi and not exceed 10 MB.
The winner will submit their ornament to JCC and it will not be returned; the Virginia Association of Counties (VACO) will keep the ornaments to decorate in future years.
