BUSCH GARDENS® CHRISTMAS TOWN™ SHINES WITH BIGGEST AND BRIGHTEST LIGHTS EVENT IN NORTH AMERICA
Yuletide Celebration Debuts Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ and Friends in Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland!
There’s no better way to get in the holiday spirit than a visit to Busch Gardens® Christmas Town™. Featuring the biggest and brightest Christmas lights event in North America with more than 8 million twinkling lights, two new KIDsiderate® areas and a bigger assortment of thrill rides, festive entertainment and food offerings, there’s so much more to do and see at Christmas Town than ever before.
Christmas Town starts Friday, Nov. 25, and will be open on select days through Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
“We have made Christmas Town bigger than ever, with more attractions and more time to enjoy them,” Busch Gardens President David Cromwell said. “Christmas Town has grown in popularity each year, and we’re gratified that so many families have made this a must-do holiday tradition.”
Joining Christmas Town this year is the lovable Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™. Guests can relive the classic television special and have their pictures taken with the iconic reindeer and friends Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and Bumble at Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland in Holiday Hills™.
For the first time, Sesame Street® Forest of Fun™ is all decked out for the holidays and open during Christmas Town. Young fans can meet their favorite Sesame Street characters, including Abby Cadabby, Elmo and Cookie Monster, and capture a special holiday photo. Families can ride Grover’s Alpine Express and do some Christmas shopping at Abby Cadabby’s Treasure Trove.
A visit to Christmas Town is not complete without a trip to Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole, where children can sit on Santa’s lap and pose for a classic Christmas photo that will forever capture the moment’s joy and wonder.
This year Christmas Town also expands its ride lineup. For the first time, Busch Gardens will offer two of its major roller coasters – Verbolten® and now Tempesto® –during the event, along with more than 20 other rides throughout the park.
Festive entertainment and savory food options are also in high supply during Christmas Town.
Guests can stop by one of Busch Gardens’ six spectacular shows, such as ’Twas That Night™, an ice show featuring world champion skater Elvis Stojko, or Gloria!, a joyous re-telling of the story of the first Christmas.
Seasonal food offerings include an all-you-can-eat Christmas buffet at Dasher’s Diner™ in Holiday Hills, and the new Marco Polo’s Marketplace will make its Christmas Town debut, serving up culinary favorites from Italy, Asia and the Mediterranean.
With more things to do and see, Busch Gardens has expanded the availability of Christmas Town as well, adding a day of operation and extending the hours from 2-10 p.m. every day.
Guests seeking the ultimate flexibility and best value can purchase a Christmas Town Fun Card for just $38. The Fun Card offers unlimited visits during the event.
Active Busch Gardens and Water Country USA® 1-Park and 2-Park Platinum Pass Members can purchase single-day tickets to Christmas Town for themselves as well as their guests for $24.
