Boys in The Arts Scholarship at the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts

Scholarship Application now being accepted for Boys Ages 11-16 to study the Performing Arts

 

Ron Boucher, Founding Artistic Director, announces that CAPA Fund is bringing back its “Boys in The Arts Scholarship” once again. The scholarship is to motivate boys to train in vocationally based programs, specifically in the Musical

Theater Division (acting, singing & movement, jazz & tap, body conditioning) and/or the Classical Ballet Division (ballet technique, partnering, modern/contemporary, body conditioning) at the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts from September 2013 – June 2014. Scholarship application and requirement can be found at www.capafund.org or www.evspa.org . Applications must be submitted by Friday, August 23rd at 5p.m.

 

CAPA Fund will be accepting up to 20 boys between the ages of 11-16, who have a strong drive for the performing arts and a willing to commit to training.  The program will run for two semesters (September through December, 2013 & January – June, 2014). Interested boys are required to submit an application. If selected by the committee, the applicant will be called to schedule an appointment for an evaluation to determine his strengths and weaknesses and will placed in levels accordingly.

 

The program is focused on technical development with appropriate applied performance opportunities.
