Black History Month Cultural Heritage Program

These one-hour long programs celebrate African-American Heritage in music, dance and the creative arts.  Meet the performers and enjoy refreshments following the presentation.  Programs are free and do not require reservations. Held in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland St.

February 09, 2014 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: This week’s program is the First Baptist Church Concert Choir featuring “The local Three Tenors” under the direction of Reginald Fox, Minister of Music.  Sponsor: First Baptist Church

February 16, 2014 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: This week’s program is “Four Williamsburg Business Men.”  Ronald Moore introduces each with a song; through pictures, skits and stories they provide Williamsburg history and what it was like getting started.  SPONSORS:  Williamsburg Chapter – Virginia State University Alumni Association; Union Baptist Church; Contributor:  New Zion Baptist Church

February 23, 2014 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM:  This week’s program features nationally known local story teller and historian Dylan Pritchett.  The sponsors are Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Greater Williamsburg Women’s Association.
