Avalon Volksmarch & Ride Fundraiser is now Virtual
Avalon Center announces the cancellation of the 2021 Volksmarch & Ride that was scheduled for October 2. As an agency, we have decided that the safety of our community, volunteers, and staff members are of the utmost importance. We have watched the recent rise in Covid cases, and it is our responsibility to proceed with caution. We appreciate all the support shown to us by our community!
Volksmarch – Walk, Ride, or Run for Avalon Center
A 9 mile virtual event during Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Participants are invited to walk, ride, or run 9 miles during the month of October. Organized by Avalon’s Middle Peninsula Advisory Board, this is the inaugural Avalon Volksmarch & Ride, with all event proceeds directly benefiting our mission.
Due to the pandemic we will not be able to gather together, but October is an amazing time to get outdoors and explore! The 9 miles can be completed any time during October. Please consider setting your own fundraising goal!
We would love to see photos from your walk, ride, or run! We will offer prizes for the most creative photos, as well as for the top 3 fundraisers. All participants will receive a knit hat with the event logo.
