Step back in time this Easter and savor a festive Groaning Board Easter Feast at Shields Tavern, served family-style in a cozy, historic setting. The meal begins with a flavorful first course of Carrot and Apple Bisque, followed by a fresh Spinach, Watercress, and Arugula Salad, topped with pickled vegetables, seeds, fruit, and a strawberry maple vinaigrette.
For the main course, guests will enjoy a delightful selection of dishes, including Herb Roast Leg of Lamb with spring onions and red wine garlic jus, Chicken Fricassee with morel and field mushrooms, and Seared Snapper with a citrus cream. These hearty entrees are accompanied by Boursin Whipped Potatoes, Local Asparagus, and Roasted Heirloom Carrots.
To end the meal on a sweet note, indulge in Vanilla Pot de Crème with passionfruit coulis and Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble topped with spiced whipped cream. The feast also includes warm bread with whipped herb butter and a choice of soft drink, lemonade, or iced tea.
