4-H Pet Pals Club Dog Training Course – October through November
The 4-H Pet Pals Club in James City County is seeking new youth members! Pet Pals club members and their dogs improve quality of life for people throughout the community by conducting visits to nursing homes, schools, and events. Members of the club and their dogs must have taken and passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen training course. 4-H in James City County, in partnership with Petco, will be facilitating two sessions of the 7-week Canine Good Citizen training course on Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting in October.
Session 1 will meet every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm, October 5 – November 16, 2016
Session 2 will meet every Thursday evening from 7:00-8:00 pm, October 6 – November 17, 2016.
Both sessions will take place at the Williamsburg Petco store (4600 Casey Boulevard Suite 100,Williamsburg, VA 23188). Each session of the training course is limited to 4 participants, and an $89.00 fee is required for the course. Youth must be 12-18 years old, and all dogs must be at least 6 months old, able to walk on a leash, and have proof of rabies vaccination.
