4-H Leadership Club at Dream Catchers, for kids 9-18
Dream Catcher’s 4-H Leadership Club
The 4-H Leadership Club at Dream Catchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center helps able-bodied and disabled youth (ages 9-18) develop leadership skills through experience working with horses. 4-H members gain skills in teamwork, cooperation, conflict resolution, responsibility, and character through hands-on lessons that teach about horses. Participants learn basic breeds, colors, grooming, and health care. This club meets on the 4th Saturday of each month from 3-5 p.m. at Dream Catchers at the Cori Sikich Therapeutic Riding Center. The club is open to both able-bodied and disabled youth and is free to join. (There may be costs associated with club activities throughout the year.)
For more information about the club or to register contact the Extension office at 757-564-2170 or the volunteer club leader, Donna Wilson, at dwils8@verizon.net.
