Adult Volunteers for Summer Camp are needed! Information and applications are available on our website:http://yorkcounty.gov/vce. Adult Volunteer Positions are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center Looking for Summer Camp Staff

Applications are now available for Summer Camp Staff positions at Jamestown 4-H Educational Center. Applicants must be 18 years or older and must be available mid-May through mid-August. Dates for Junior 4-H Summer Camp 2015

York County/City of Poquoson’s Junior 4-H Camp at the Jamestown 4-H Center will be held on August 3-7, 2015.Teens ages 15-18 can apply to serve as volunteer Camp Counselors and teens ages 13-14 can apply to serve as Counselors-in-Training during camp. Information about camp registration and Counselor-in-Training applications will be announced in January. Give the Gift of a 4-H Winter Camp for Christmas!

There are several 4-H Specialty Camps taking place this winter at the 4-H Educational Centers around the state. Below is a list of several camps that would make a great Christmas Gift for your child!

·         Winter Teen Camp: December 29-31 at Jamestown 4-H Center (ages 14-19). Registration information athttp://jamestown4hcenter.org/

·         Natural Resources Weekend: January 24-25 at Holiday Lake 4-H Center in Appomattox, VA (ages 9-19). Registration information at https://holidaylake4h.com/NREweekend.php. Please contact the Extension Office if you are planning to attend this camp. All youth attending this camp must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If there is enough interest, our office can arrange for chaperones to attend with the youth from York/Poquoson and for carpooling options.

·         Space Camp: January 30 – February 1^st at Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield, VA (ages 9-13). Registration information at http://www.airfieldconference.com/specialty-camps.php

·         Arts and Technology Camp: February 6-8 at Jamestown 4-H Center (ages 9-13). Registration information at http://jamestown4hcenter.org/

Join the York/Poquoson 4-H Horse Club

The Millennium Riders 4-H Horse Club is looking for new members! This club is open to any youth (ages 9-18) in York County or the City of Poquoson. You don’t need a horse join!
