26th Annual Virginia Children’s Festival

Hampton Roads’ most beloved family festival is filled with more than 100 creative and interactive activities, storytelling, hands-on workshops and educational displays, cultural experiences, arts and crafts, costumed characters and more! Parents and children alike can frolic through the many imagination stations, shows and displays that will be on site. Then visit the multiple exhibitions and activities that are sure to get the creative juices flowing.  The entire family is sure to have a great time as they share in the fun, food and festive celebrations that bring the whole family and Hampton Roads’ community together at the Virginia Children’s Festival. This event is designed with children 10 and younger in mind.

Saturday: 10am-3pm
Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk, Virginia

  WHRO will have two special performances on the festival’s main stage from Sesame Street’s Elmo and Maria.  Performance times are 11:00am and 1:30pm.  Next to the main stage, the WHRO booth will feature  transmedia activities on an interactive whiteboard along with other games and giveaways.  PBS Kids characters Daniel Tiger and Super Why will also be stopping by the WHRO booth throughout the day to meet and greet and take pictures with children attending the event.
