1st Annual Williamsburg Marching Band Showcase
Saturday, October 22 from 12 pm to 4 pm
Wanner Stadium

Join us on Saturday, October 22nd from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Wanner Stadium as Jamestown and Lafayette High Schools host the 1st Annual Williamsburg Marching Band Showcase.  Marching bands from Richmond, James City County and Hampton Roads will take the field in competition for Class A, AA, AAA, & AAAA.  Come out for a fabulous afternoon of music and marching while supporting the fine arts programs in our public schools.  Gates open at 12:00.  Tickets are available for $5 at the gate.  Cash and Credit are welcome.  Keep scrolling for info on the Shoe Collection Event at this event….

There will be a “Pack the Truck” Jamestown High School Band Shoe Collection event at the 1st Annual Williamsburg Marching Band Showcase at Wanner Stadium from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.

The Jamestown Band will have a truck located right by the front entrance to the stadium and it will have “SHOE US THE LOVE” posters all over it. Please stop by, drop off your shoes, and stay to listen to some fantastic young marching bands. Jamestown High School Band is collecting new and gently used shoes to help support those in Southwest Florida that were ravaged by Hurricane Ian. 

If you cannot make it on Saturday you can still help – Jamestown High School Band Shoe Collection runs through October 27th. Shoes of all sizes, types and colors are welcome.  From slippers to stilettos, flip-flops to wingtips, crocs to sneakers, we’ll take anything you’re willing to donate. So, check your closets, shoe baskets, garages, and car trunks and pull out all those shoes you aren’t wearing any more.  Drop off locations throughout Williamsburg include:

·       Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex (WISC)

·       James City County Recreation Center

·       Jamestown High School

·       King of Glory Lutheran Church

·       Moe’s Southwest Grill

Each location will have a black collection box with “WE WANT YOUR SHOES” next to it.  Please drop off during regular business hours.
